Songs for Spintown - 2011
Four songs written for the Spintunes online songwriting competition. Each song was written over the course of 6 days in response to a specific challenge.

Here are some highlights of my year in songwriting. The songs were written and recorded for a variety of purposes under a variety of circumstances and the recording quality may vary accordingly. Either way, I hope the songs come through.
A song cycle telling the history of baseball. Pastime was written and recorded entirely within the month of February 2008 as part of February Album Writing Month (FAWM.org) and Record Production Month (rpmchallenge.com). Complete liner notes are available at http://www.rossdurandmusic.com/pastime.
This album was part of an online challenge called AAW/WTFF, or An Album in a Week, With Twists for Fun. The entire album was written and recorded between July 16 and 21, 2007. Some of the songs were responses to some suggested "twists." Complet liner notes can be found at http://www.rossdurandmusic.com/backfromsantafe.html.
50/90 stands for 50 songs in 90 days. This is an offshoot of February Album Writing Month (fawm.org). The challenge is simple - write 50 songs in 90 days. The recording is optional - but I enjoy doing that. The 90 days begins when July 4th begins on the globe and ends when October 1st ends on the globe. I posted my first song on July 12th and posted my last in the wee hours of local October 2nd. This album is a collection of what I think are some of my best, most interesting, or best received songs of the 50/90.
